I hear a grinding noise when I drive 45-65mph. There are vibrations from the grinding that can be felt in the bottom portion of the steering wheel. The brakes on the car have been check. The grinding noise can be heard if you are turning or going strait. The grinding noise isn't constent it will go away for a couple of seconds then come back then go away. Today when I was driving I noticed the noise was most noticable around turns that were mad at 40 mph. I also notice that the noise is worst after driving on the highway. The escape is a 2005 limited with 27000 miles. Also I got into an accident with the car and the driver side wheel well had to be rebuilt so could the noise be something that wasn't put together right? Thank You

The wreck could have more than likely have something to do with it. You need to take it and have it looked over very well. It might be if it gets any worse and that something could give out and you could have another wreck.
