See my profile, I am a CJ GUY.....If wife were a CJ GAL....I wouldn't be submitting this question!

AS WITH ANSWERS I GIVE, MY QUESTIONS ARE NOVELS TOO!

Pretty much, you see what she has, above.

I am sorta the Motorpool Sargeant around here, I maintain and repair everybody elses....NO MATTER WHAT!

I do not get to regularly drive anything but my '77 and '46 Jeeps (real vehicles)

So Mama hits me with this repair deal...cannot complain much....all I have ever done as a repair, was replaced the IAC long ago.

I rode with her, maybe 15 miles before it "CUT UP"

ENGINE OR TRANNY?........feels like engine????!!!!

Could this be the reaction, when water goes thru an injector?

I do not regularly ride in it.....so I can only explain as if were a "Older Vehicle".....because I do not know it's "PARTICULARS" in the way this one drives.

When on level ground (she says) holding steady on pedal---------Or like when it happened when I was in it--------pulling a VERY SLIGHT INCLINE....w/ a little accelleration.......

Her Rig Hesitated repeatedly (5-6 times) and for a short time (one second or less)-----2 or 3 Cycles within 10 seconds,

It was quick and almost like a repeated downshift....but in M-60 Machine Gun Cyclic Rate fashion..........if this was downshifting, it was really fast, 5-6 times in one second....it was almost like turning the key off and on at hyper-speed motion.

Then it did it, no more-----she says this happens 2-3 times in one day, back and forth to work.....about 15 miles in one day. Vehicle was at operating temp.

Thanks to the Big Guys here......I was "REWARDED", per say, with a Actron CP 9125 Code Scanner...sorta Low end.....But I had None!....I have always taken Rigs, to parts stores for coding.

I have tried it on relatives' vehicles just to try it out......But I am not really fully commited to knowing all it can do.

This is my 1st time to use it for a repair.....MY RESULTS! :

Off and Running....if I am doing this right. (both scenerios, came up with results below)

0 CODES

MIL OFF

MONITORS

0 INC

8 READY

I am a Self Certified Rear Lawn Mechanic.....Mega Tool inventory (REGULAR STUFF-NOT CYBER STUFF).........I understand MECHANICALS...some CYBER......Have HAYNES MANUAL for this rig!!!

CAN YOU HELP A CYBER-IDIOT.....WITH THIS CYBER RIG PROBLEM???.......I can give you a FREE CJ ANSWER!!!

UPDATE: 12 SEP 10---I fired him up, to pull into the garage last night, he had a hard time staying running at Idle.......Would just die, as soon as I released the Key (no skipping or running rough, just die) 5 attempts to get it to stay running.....finally good, and I idled into the garage, in drive, not accellerator, as always
........WATER????????.......I do not want to use an additive...Till I know the problem for sure!

UPDATE.....21 SEP 10..........................................

Used Seafoam in fuel tank.......No Difference!

Rode in her rig several more times,

The best discription now is :

It has not had the problem of staying running at Idle (12 SEP 10 problem) since that episode.

It does it more frequently,

It seems to do it more while pulling inclines while accellerating slightly (still does it on flat terrain, too)

its just a QUICK, JERKYNESS that only LASTS a SECOND OR SO....But is so quick it does'nt really Jerk you around inside the vehicle.

Any IDEAs?

NOW THIS IS A REAL VEHICLE
