Parking brake adjustment?

On my wife's (E-150 Traveler) van the parking brake petal travels 3/4's of the way to the floor before any tension is felt. The adjusters in the back drums are just barely allow contact between the shoes and the drum. (With the parking brake released that is) As I look underneath the van I don't see any other adjustment location. There is still 1/4" of lining left on the shoes before it hits the rivits. Thanks in advance.

Some of these vans do not have an adjuster and some have a tension limiter. If the e brake pedal is to low the cable may be stretched and need replacement, but I would recheck the shoe adjustment because that will cause the problem as well. Check out the images (Below). Please let us know what happens.
