My van will not start and engine will not turn. I checked the battery connections, the starter and the solenoid. The components all checked good. I direct wired the starter and the engine started. The problem started at a traffic light when I tried to accelerate the engine died. From that point on I could not get the starter to engage.
Do you have any suggestions?

Hi:
If you were able to jump the starter and it started and ran, the problem is upstream. My guess would be to check the ignition on the steering column (not the key, the electrical ignition switch itself). It sounds like that may be where the problem is starting.
