One and a half month ago, I tried to start the engine for once and I failed. There was a sound like a click when I turn car key. Nothing was rotating at all. I tried once again and the engine started. Over the days, # of times the start clicks before the engine starts was increasing. Last week, car started immediately for few times before it went back to clicking when started. Please advise me as we have here very bad mechanics as they are not giving the right thing to repair immediately. Rather, they ask for many things to replace before getting the correct defective item to fix.

Is the car still under warranty? Sounds like you have a loose wiring connection to the starter motor or a bad starter.

Dave,

Many thanks for ur reply.

I've just got my car after repair. It was ok and the w/s supvr explained that the problem was dirt accumulation. Starter components were cleaned and boxed-up.

Many thanks once again.
