1992 Ford Crown Victoria starter

I had a problem when starting my car once in a while specialy in extreme cold' I would crank it up and all I would get is a clicking noise. So they told me my stater was going bad' so I changed it and it worked fine for a couple of days and the it started doing the same thing! I let sit a few days and the the dam thing would start agiain. I cant find the saloution. Can you help me?

When you buy a new starter did you buy it brand new or used?

Also check that you have a good battery, if you dont have an enough charge your starter will do that clicking noise, and the more you click it the less charge your giving it.
