1985 Ford Crown Victoria car idles high sometimes

Pls help my 1985 ford crown vic idles high when ever I come to a stop. When I first start it it runs fine.

Check and test the idle air control valve/motor and the throttle position sensor, also check the throttle plate if its binding and not fully closing/seated and also the cable not binding in the sleeve

You should be able to view previous answered questions- If you are wondering about my answers-you see them Stars/Votes I didn't get there for nothing. If you don't mind I'll be opting and please! Await for another expert to assist

There's other causes that can affect your idle than the ones I've mentioned. I choose them as prime targets before I get into the nightmare ones.
