My battery died due to my lights staying on, we jumped the car and had to reset the alarm to get the car to start. Now my alarm won't let me restart the car and I can't get my keypad to work, I have to hit the reset button every time.

If it is a factory alarm do this

open driver side window
disconnect the battery
place key in ignition and turn key ON
reconnect the battery that should reset the after market alarm

If it is an aftermarket alarm it needs to be replaced.

Its not a factory alarm
factory alarm do not have a reset switch under the dash
open a window (so you do not get locked out the car )
open hood (so you can disconnect the battery )
disconnect battery negative side and set aside
place key in the ignition and turn the key to on ( not start )
make sure all door shut
reconnect the battery
if that did not work
with battery connected
turn key on cycle alarm reset switch on off
turn key off
start engine
if its a factory alarm
place key in driver door lock and lock and unlock the door
that will reset the FACTORY ALARM
