I just got my alternator replaced in my car. I noticed my battery light came on in the car so I did a system test on the battery and alternator. Everything came out good. It said it was charging like normal. The light won't go out, but nothing seems to be wrong with the car. Should I be worried about it, and how can I make the light go off?

Can you give us the actual voltage reading for the charging system? Using a digital multimeter across battery posts, the generic spec for a full charge is around 12.6 volts. With the vehicle running, I take a second reading across battery posts, the second reading should be higher than the first, if the charging system is working. With vehicle idling in drive, have a helper with foot on the brake, all accessories turned on, I like to see charging system voltage as much over 13 volts as I can get.
