I have a 87 bronco2 4wd did a tuneup truck wants to hesitate when running will idle ok somtimes but then when I go to take off it acts like it is starving for fuel went to get a fuel filter and they gave me a inline filter but cannot find where it goes looked under whole truck but to no avail found fuel pump traced back to a small cannister with fuel in it could this be it? Any help greatly appreciated its driving me nuts I dont want to buy a book just for a fuel filter truck has 150000+ miles but still runs great with exception of the hesitation and sluggishness thanks for your help

If I am not mistaken the fuel filter on my 89 bronco II under the drivers seat on the chasis. It is round canister. It has a shield pipe clamped to it.

I did find a canister under the seat on frame but it says its the fuell pump back further is a canister that has gas in it and you have to unscrew it it looks like it would be the filter but it does not match the one that the auto parts store wants to sell me it resembles an air filter or a filter for a oil heater you know what I mean im thinking about getting an after market fuel pump and installing it and then seeing what happens thanx for the input all help appreciated
