Engine Mechanical problem
1993 Ford Bronco V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Engine is fairly new and running great and then all of a sudden the oil pressure reflects low on the guage. Changed the oil, although not due, using 5W 30 as normal. Gauge didn't really change much. It ran great in the morning, but this afternoon it had a "shudder"/vibration to it and felt like it wasn't going to make it home 2 more miles. No smoke, normal radiator, new alternator, new battery. Any ideas? Oil pump?

Check the oil pressure to rule out the oil pump, engine bearings and oil pressure switch.

Thank you for the quick response. Did check the gauge and it's not the issue. Did see distributor cap base has crack so replacing that tomorrow. Oil sensor replacing tomorrow - reasonable part for a "computer" engine just to be safe. Points were a little dirtier than normal for "new" engine but got that taken care of tomorrow also. I see why my mechanic preferred mercedes repair and went back to his home country. But after 256k miles on 1st engine - I can't complain too much. Will upload photo when main computer working. The "shudder" feeling my daughter had is what really makes me wonder if I have 2 issues at once. It was 40 this morning and it ran like a dream. The afternoon was 73 in texas and it acted silly. Will review all of your recommendations and send donation as soon as possible. Thank you again.
