When you first start the truck it runs good but when you drive it it will start stalling out going down the road and shut off. When I restart it it will sometimes take 5-6 times for it to keep running. The motor will rev between 500-1100 rpms and then shut off. I have replaced the fuel filter, IAC, O2 sensor, and the ignition coil but nothing has changed. Could it be the fuel pump?

Hello shellbanger

The problem could be ignition-related and happen when the engine loses spark. The underlying cause is often a bad crankshaft position sensor or a faulty ignition switch that loses contact
When this happens, open the hood and check for spark. Pulling off a plug wire can do this, and placing the end near the block while a helper cranks the engine. DO NOT hold the wire as it may shock you if the ignition system is working. If you do not see a spark or hear the plug wire snapping when the engine is cranking, the fault is in the ignition system, if you see spark a weak fuel pump could cause the problem.

The truck will start back up but will not idle properly or stay running. It revs up and down then shuts off. Where is the crankshaft sensor located? Also you can here the fuel pump humming from inside the cab when driving it. Is this a symptom of it going bad?

There is no crank sensor on this specific model
There are two fuel pumps. One in the tank that generate low pressure and the one you hear(inline tank that generate high pressure)
None of the fuel pump is dead, but the fuel volume could cause the problem.
If the truck starts back up but will not idle properly or stay running, if it revs up and down then shuts off, a weak in tank fuel pump could be the problem.

Have 89 bronco inline 6. Start up low idling, after warm up, idles for few seconds then shuts down.
