the ignition upper actuator rod broke how do I replace it

I do believe it has two 5/16 shear bolts in it, if I remeber right. Lol remove or replace and insert same type of bolts.

It does not have 2 5/16 bolts

Ok wrong type of column sorry. The ignition starter switch should be removed and this does require dropping the column. Once done you should be able to turn the key all the way past start and the rod or piece of rod should come right out. If not I'm stumped sorry.
