Have bad leak coming from the back of the engine between the bell housing and engine. Water drains out at about one gal. Per 10 min. And most of the water in system drains out when the car is off and parked. The drain rate stays the same moving or parked.
I got under van and looked to see where water was coming from also took engine cover off inside and look at back of engine and saw no water. What could be the problem and what would (about) the cost to fix it.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

I would be thinking that there is a welch plug( I think you call them freeze plugs) behind the drive plate, the transmission will have to be removed to get access to this plug, if it is the case make sure that it is replaced with a brass plug as this will last the life of the engine, cost will depend on the labour rate as the pate is only a few dollars in its self but there will be around 5 Hrs work involved don't forget to allow for the replacement coolant as well, get your mechanic to confirm this diagnoses first.
