Got in my car 3 weeks ago in the Vegas heat and the air conditioning coming threw the vents had reduced tremendously, when put on only high vent seems to also have air coming out on the floor vents. Changed the in cabin filter still happening. Have the glove box removed still so would be greatly appreciated any input you could give. Also got into my car yesterday and service engine soon light come on, the trouble code that comes up on my OMB is P0463÷Power-train Fuel Level Sensor Circuit High Input, not sure if they are related to each other and when driving yesterday almost seemed that it was going to shut off at a stop. Never charged the A/C unit since owning my car which is four years now, and many times threw out that time, would see white fog coming threw the air vents for about 10 seconds as I used the air conditioning in the car. My air conditioning is blowing 54 degrees with meat thermometer and 45 degrees infrared thermometer from my high vents and 54 degrees on the floor vents. I am a girl and kind of on my own with this, so please help, I do not do well with the heat of Las Vegas and my A/C not working as well as it once did. Thanking you in advance for your help.

Welcome back:

I will start with the AC issues. As far as the question related to the trouble code, I hate to ask, but I need you to repost it on a new thread. We are trying to keep each post specific to one topic to help others.

Okay, if you select the air flow to come from the vents on the dash and it is coming from both the dash vents and below the dash, too, chances are you have a bad mode door actuator. This actuator is designed to direct air flow in different directions based on what is needed. If you are setting it on dash and it's coming from both places, the actuator is most likely bad.

The actuator is located behind the glove box. Here are the directions for replacement specific to your vehicle. The attached picture correlates with the directions.

DOOR MOTOR

MODE DOOR MOTOR : Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Remove globe box assembly. See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel > Removal and Replacement > Exploded View.

2. Remove mounting screws (A), and then remove mode door motor (1).
3. Disconnect mode door motor connector.

INSTALLATION
Installation is basically the reverse order of removal

Also, I am going to attach a link that shows a blend air door actuator being replaced. I'm adding it because it is easier to see what actually is being done. Now, a blend door and mode door are two different things. However, the procedure is very similar and they function very similarly.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care and keep cool,
