I recently had chains on my front tires and going down the road they snapped and the lights started to flicker with every hit from the chains. Of course I pull over to inspect and the live connection to my battery was disconnected. So reconnected and it was fine, the next day my lights on my dashboard, radio display and head lights were all flickering, Checked the wires and they were fine, started to play with the fuses and it would fix it, but act up again later. So went and bought new fuses and it was fixed but again a day later still happening. Please help what else could be going on before assuming that the chains may have done something to my alternator.

Hello,

This sounds like either the battery terminal is not tight and needs to be replaced or that the chain might of damaged the ground strap coming from the engine block to the frame of the vehicle. Could you please check these components out and get back to us with what you find out. We can go from there.

Thanks,
Alex
