I have installed engine and CVT transmission from 2009 Nissan Versa to 2008 Versa and I changed all the wiring in the engine bay from 2009 to 2008 and the ecu and Tcm from 2009 to 2008. I have changed ignition switch and immobilizer from 2009 to 2008 car. When I out the key in and try to start the car nothing happens and I still get flashing red key light on the dash. I tried using 2008 ignition and immobilizer same thing. Than I tried using 2009 immobilizer with 2008 ignition nothing same flashing red key. I believe it's not recognizing the key. What can I do to solve this? Thank you

With the mix of parts you will need to use a good bidirectional scan tool and programming box to talk to the system and reflash the ECU and TCM with the correct VIN for the 2008, then each module should operate and the keys can be reprogrammed into the system to make them work. However you may be farther ahead to have a dealership do this as they would have the access to Nissan and the security code needed to do the keys. The way it is at the moment the other modules in the vehicle are reporting one VIN number which doesn't match the one stored in the 2009 parts. That makes the system go into theft mode and refuse any keys. Nissans anti theft system is a real stickler for everything being correct before it will work.
