1988 Fiat Uno 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

hi, ok I got a problem with my fiat uno turbo mk1. Ill start with the first as I think the two are linked. On starting it idles a bit high then it settles but if I touch the accelerater it revs up as it should and sometimes settle and sometimes stay high (talking 1.5 - 2k), the throttle is deffinetly not sticking. When it settles it is a bit lumpy. Ok second and most annoying, on driving if I accelerate gentley it starts to boost, if I accelerate any harder it just kind of grumbles splutters and dosent pick up! I cant even build revs up high gentley, but if in neutral it revs high fine. Drives me mad because it feels like it really wants to go. I bought the car like it thinking its an easy fix. Ok things I have done: new plugs and ht leads, checked for boost and vacuum leaks (none found) thanx for any help!

First step is first. Check into the turbo. See if its in good shape and working properly. Next. Have you ever cleaned the carb and ran some fuel system cleaner through it. Check wirings. Change fuel filter and air filter. Make sure timing is good.

What kind of setup is the fuel system. Does it have a electric or manual choke.
