My son has a FIat Punto 85SX that suddenly lost power and the water gauge kept rising. He has topped the water up and there is a slight leak although it will still not fire and the battery is not flat. Any ideas what this can be.

Hi there, check the coolant leak and repair, if it is an internal leak you will have to check for a head gasket problem, if external leak, also check for spark, fuel pressure and injection pulse, also do a scan to check for any set fault codes, start here.
