When you press on the “Setup” button next to dash, it takes you to adjust the features of the vehicle such as power running boards, easy exit seat, reverse mirror, etc. However, all of those personalization features have disappeared from the “Setup” menu, as if they never existed. Car has all those options from the factory, and the power liftgate module works fine but I cannot access and control any of those features anymore since they have disappeared from the Setup menu.

I am reading forums that some people had the same issue, usually after connecting to a diagnostic device or changing the battery.
Despite the fact that there are people who had this problem, I couldn't find any solution or fix for that issue.

More than likely this is a radio issue. There may be tricks that some people have to try and restore functions but normally when they are missing out of the radio, it is the radio itself that has malfunctioned.

However, we should try a couple things first to see if we can get it to reboot and restore them.

Let's start by going into the setup menu and at the bottom of the options there should be a restore factory settings or reset option. Go ahead and try to reset the system and that will force the radio to reboot.

If this does not work or you do not find this option, then let's try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes and then reconnect it.

Basically, we need to force the radio to reboot so that it will restart and restore these options.

If none of this works, then we may need to replace the radio so let's try this first.

Hi Kenny, and thank you for your quick response.
The “Setup” menu is not on the radio. The button is located next to the gauges, right hand side, behind the steering wheel, and the options are displayed in the message/information screen which is located on the bottom side of the gauges. It is the same screen that milage, trip etc, displayed. (Please refer to the attachment).
So, it is not related to radio at all.
Unfortunately, there is no option to reset or to restore the factory settings in the menu. And battery also didn’t do the trick either. Still missing those personalization options from the Setup menu.

Ugh. I am sorry. I see that this is a 2004, and I looked up a 2014. Sorry.

So, on this system, the message center logic is contained in the cluster. So, if this is not correct there is some testing that we can run through but since there are a couple options that appear to be missing, points to a cluster issue.

So, I would start with checking to see if there are any message codes in the cluster.

The last page below is how to access this test. Clearly if we have codes then we will need to follow these so I would start with this.
