Car is in limp mode however no fault codes are showing up on my scan tool. The code I am concerned with is a CCID420 code, not sure exactly what that means?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

The CC ID codes are indicators of issues the vehicle has. Some indicate a low tire, burned out bulb and other things. The CC ID 420 indicates a transmission malfunction. Hence, limp mode.

Now, that code is generic, meaning it could be many different things related to the transmission. At this point, I recommend either finding a scanner that can read transmission codes or taking it to a shop that has one. The only way I can go further is to know the more specific codes.

I wish I had an easier answer, but I do not.

Please feel free to ask more questions or let me know if you need additional help.

Take care,
Joe
