My car started running rough it if nowhere the other day. The code reader reads c1201, c1224, and p0302. What should I look to for troubleshooting?

The "C" codes are chassis codes so they have nothing to do with engine performance. The P0302 indicates a misfire in cylinder #2. You will have to determine what the cause of the misfire is through diagnosis.

Yes, I can tell it's misfiring. The c codes break to ecu malfunction and ne circuit open or short. I'm not sure what I need to do to narrow down the faulty part to repair it.

As I said, you don't need to be concerned with the C codes right now. The ABS module has lost communication with the PCM but that doesn't effect engine performance. Concentrate on the misfire. Start out looking at the ignition system ie; Plugs, coils, wires, etc
