No that's weekday I'll be working on this week. Been researching and finding timing chain issues as well but I don't know if that would affect the high pressure fuel pump. Seems like it would be more related to camshaft. If I were to find its camshaft I'd it better thi replace intake and exhaust since i'm in there?

Lobes appeared to have normal wear. Timing chain felt firm. I did find a piece of plastic inside close go the timing chain shaft which I circled in the pictures before. I'm at a complete loss.

Don't know if that's the piece that broke off. The chain seems tight though unless chipped or missing tooth?

That looks like a piece from one the guide. Actually, the exact portion you circled in the last pic. As far as the cam, there is nothing obvious that I'm seeing. However, without using a mic, it's hard to tell.
