Hello my name is Dave.

I have encountered this issue in the past, the problem usually has come down to the 38 pin scanner port under the hood, a lot of Mercedes products won't permanently erase a code via the OBDII port so you would need to find a scanner/code reader with the 38 pin connector and use that to erase the code. If the repair has been successful I have had 95% success using this method and a very high % of failure trying to use the conventional OBDII port. Please keep us up to date on your progress and thank you for using 2CarPros!
