One major issue I am having is when I go to take off in first gear I have to feather the throttle and ride the clutch out or lay down the clutch real fast while giving it gas. I get the whole jerking feeling or do it as you would normally do on a five speed. It is a vibration or shake in the transmission or clutch plate area. Just recently had the clutch with a stage one clutch kit. So I know it cannot be the clutch. Did not replace the slave cylinder, but the clutch pedal releases properly and it is nice and easy to push down. It is not tight it goes and gears smoothly. So that is why I do not believe it is the slave cylinder. If someone could please help me with the carburetor issues that would be great trying to keep this truck as stock as possible and not dump a ton of money in it. My grandmother gave me this truck she was the original owner when she bought the truck it had sixty three miles on it in 1988. When she bought this truck has not been on the interstate since I have owned it or since she owned it the farthest it would ever go is from Capon Bridge West Virginia to Winchester Virginia. It was basically her little small put around truck. In 2013 she took it off the road her mechanic said it was the computer but since I have owned it as of October of last year I have replaced the vacuum control valve or whatever it is LOL with a used junkyard or salvage lot. It idle better then when she gave it to me it would not stay idling when she gave it to me. Since then I have adjusted the throttle idle screw and the air-fuel mixture with just a bump to the left or a bump to the right and if neither one of them worked out. Put it back in the exact same position that was. Any help would be great, I have a feeling it is running rich. I do have a brand-new oxygen sensor. I am going to put on tomorrow but when I unhooked the oxygen sensor the truck actually did not run any better or worse.

Hello,

Okay, lets start by removing the sparks plugs. Please take a picture of them then uploading it here so I can see what it look like.

You might be right with running rich also. Please take a picture of the engine so I can see which one you have.

Cheers, Ken
