Hello!
I have not been able to start my vehicle for 3 hours now, and we think it is a dead battery, because of the clicks upon attempting engine ignition. But also the security light is lit, on the dash. Will changing the battery trigger the Immobilizer to work properly, restarting the security feature?
Thanks

If you hear a clicking noise from the starter when the key is turned to start, it's most likely not a security issue causing the condition. If the vehicle is in security lock-out, the engine will either start then immediately stall, or it won't engage the starter at all. I would have the battery tested by an auto parts store and replace if necessary. If the security lamp is still lit after that and/or the engine still won't start, we'll dig into it further at that point.

Let me know what you find!
