So I was driving my car the other day with no issues. No lights came on so I continued to drive the car throughout the day. At the end of my day I parked my car with half tank of gas and a good battery. The next day I go to turn my car on and the engine doesn’t turn. The battery is still good. So I check my fuses and everything is fine. I go to check the oil and there is absolutely no oil in the car! I need to know what could be the cause of my car not starting due to no oil. And if I now add oil, will it start?

Hi,

Was the engine making any knocking or ticking sounds when it was running? Does the starter engage and turn the engine when you try to start it?

As far as adding oil, you should make sure it's full, but low oil isn't likely the cause of a no start condition. Take a look through this link:

Let me know as much as you can. Also, if you could record it cranking and upload it for me to hear, it may help.

Take care and God Bless,

Joe
