Engine not starting

Engine was running good turned it off when came back to start it engine turns over but will not fire. No petrol getting to injectors and no spark. Tried spare battery to pump terminals and pump started to work, so pump is okay. I just not sure what is stopping pump and spark.

This sounds like a classic crankshaft angle sensor that has gone out. Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for when doing the job.

Hi the 306 I had problem starting I have sold on, the chap who got the car said it was an earth wire to the fuel cut of switchat back of battery box that had failed in the harness, the switch with the red button you can press, car now running ok cheers.
