Engine surging

On starting it runs fine, but within a minute or two the engine starts surging and continues to do so regardless of revs.

I did have someone put a gauge on it to read the fault code so will see if they can do the fuel pressure. I did change the fuel filter, emptied and refilled the fuel tank as in rural areas the fuel can be dodgy at times.

Hey GYPSY,

It sounds like it could be a coolant temperature sensor that is going out or you have a mass air flow sensor that can be give you trouble ,here are a couple of guides that can help you get the problem fixed.
