Can a vad belt tensioner cause engine surging whole driving? It will drive fine on cold mornings. Until I tv charms up then it surges. Seems to me a spring is more rigid in cold and warm it's old enough to be weak. Just want another opinion

My dam. Phone auto corrects me. And I meant until it warms up. When cold it ran perfect but when it got warm it started surging. I put in a new belt tensioner. Seems to be fixed now.
