After recently overhauling my vehicle I replaced the fuel pump, oil pump and replaced the pistons and rings. The vehicle ran for some few weeks then later on while on my daily errands it just stalled, which surprised me as it was in gear. After starting the vehicle it started off but I had to double press the gas pedal like twice for me to reach my destination. Since that day I have not used my vehicle again. Looking for the best mechanical advice on what could be the problem.

Does this have a carburetor on it?
If so, check if the accelerator pump is bad.
With the engine off, remove the air cleaner, look down the carburetor air horn and snap the throttle open one time and see if you see a squirt of gasoline out of the accelerator pump.
If not, the rubber diaphragm is most likely broken or the small ball rusted and stuck or dirt in the accelerator passage.
