I have the vehicle listed above Sport. Once the car reaches 40 MPH the engine will shudder when accelerating. It only does it intermittently. It does not drop RPM(s). It does seem to shudder more during turns. I’ve had the camshaft sensors checked. They all checked out good. I’ve had it checked out by three mechanics. None of them could find anything or duplicate the problem. Please, help, I’m extremely frustrated.

Hi,

My first concern with this vehicle is the transmission. Have you ever had the transmission fluid serviced? The vehicle has what is called a CVT transmission. (Continuously variable transmission) If you haven't ever serviced it, that is where I would start. If nothing else, I would check the fluid level and condition.

Checking the fluid requires a dipstick. At the top of the dipstick tube will be a plastic plug that is removable. That needs to be removed and then the dipstick can be used. And yes, the dipstick needs to be purchased.

I attached the directions below for checking fluid level. The remaining pics are the directions for servicing the transmission fluid and filter. Please note that you must use the correct fluid in this transmission.

Pics 1-3 are checking the fluid level. Pic 4 provides the fluid type specific to this vehicle. The remaining pics are the directions for servicing the transmission and filter.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
