When I am going to start it up, it will shake then turn off, on third try it starts and then I have no more trouble. It happens only on first start to head out somewhere for the day. There is no engine light on rest of day as driving everything is fine.

Hello,

Just to clarify, this only happens in the morning on a cold engine?
We can start with the basics. First of all you might need to do a tune up, if it has been a while.
It could be caused by a faulty sensor that does not provide accurate signal to the vehicle. It could be as simple as cleaning out few components like mass air flow sensor or throttle body.

Here are guides that will show how to clean these components:

Here is a guide to help you tune up your engine:

Please let me know after you go thru the process and see how it drives.

Thank you.
