When driving the engine seems to race. Even when first starting.I tried wd40. Seem to help. But the problemcontinues

High idle speed is typically caused by a vacuum leak. Listen for a hiss or you can try spraying water on the vacuum hoses while the engine is running and still cold. Watch for anyplace it gets sucked in or the engine momentarily slows down.
