Engine oil temperature overheating?

Hi,

Was the coolant low? That would explain no heat. As far as the engine oil is concerned, if there is coolant mixing with it, that would likely indicate a failed head gasket, but it doesn't explain the temperature indications you have.

Let's start with this. Take a look at the attached link. It explains what to check for a failed head gasket.

Also, check the transmission fluid to see if the coolant is mixed with it.

Yes, it seems most likely from the symptoms that the head gasket is blown. I've been trying to find a repair manual like Haynes or Chilton but not having any luck. Do you know where I might be able to locate the repair info to replace my head gasket? Also, I bought an oil cooler to replace to see if that might be my problem and this cooler said it was for my exact year model engine size ect., but it's not in my car. What I seen online is that it's supposed to be located right where the oil filter screws on, but my vehicle does not have one there. Do you know if it's located somewhere else or if it's just not equipped on my model? Thanks for all your help.

No problem with the manual. I got you covered. See pics below.

As far as the engine oil cooler is concerned, it should be where the oil filter is located. The cooler has two coolant hoses going to it and the oil filter actually attaches to the cooler.

The last pic below shows what it looks like. Take a pic of what you purchased and upload it for me to see. Also, the cooler ended up being pic 25 and I couldn't move it to the end. Sorry about that.
