No engine check light on although car transmission not working properly.
Things I did:
1. Reset ECM.
2. Change Transmission Fluid.
3. Cleaned ABS sensors.
4. Fluid and changed Brake System.
Symptoms:
Car braking suddenly while driving
After starting and selecting gears car cuts out.
Thanks,
kbee

Good afternoon,

Why did you reset the ECM? All that does is make it forget a fault. Was there a fault code stored?

Is or was any other light on?

Hi Roy, did a diagnostic scan with no fault code found, so I thought there was a fault with the Transmission Control Module, which is in the ECM, so I did a reset hoping it will correct the issue but it still there. No other light except the ABS light, that why I flush the brake system and clean the ABS sensors.

Okay, first, resetting does nothing. All it does is make the ECM forget a fault code.

What is the exact issue with the transmission?

Thanks for that info. My transmission issues are:
Car jumps when place in any gear.
When driving front left wheel locks off.
It only drives reasonably if you use the Tiptronic lever.
P.S, The transmission fluid change was like tar, black and thick.

That is not good with the fluid.

I would do it several more times to get it cleaned. That may be the entire issue.

The fluid must flow freely for it to perform.
