I have the vehicle listed above ix35 model. During cold engine my car hesitate/jerk during acceleration for sometime then it runs okay. What I would like to know is what can cause this problem?

Hello,

Probable causes could be ignition wiring, spark plugs and spark plug cables, I'm attaching repair guides and component location below. Let us know if you need more information.

The previous owner of the car hasn’t done any servicing for almost a year now, Will do a complete servicing of the vehicle. Do you think its advisable to replacement the fuel filter as well?

The fuel is part of the fuel module in the gas tank it is to last the life of the vehicle or fuel pump. It would be costly to place it and it would not need to be service unless you have a faulty fuel pump. Let us know if there is anything else can can help you with.

Thanks

Thanks, will go for the spark plug replacement. As for this symptoms I notice as well when I press the gas pedal I could hear a like a misfire from the exhaust(it's not like a constant flow of the exhaust) have to press the gas pedal hard to be able to get the car moving. It's like a lack of power.

A 4 cylinder engine if it drops a cylinder because loss of spark it would definitely have low power. I feel your going to see a big improvement after the tune up. Please let us know how everything turns out.

Thanks
