I just installed a used transmission into my truck and when I went to start the engine I turned the key over and nothing happened.

Try resetting security system. Lock drivers door then unlock door and see if it starts. If not then look online to see how to do it for your truck. Also recheck your work may have a battery cable disconnected.
I do not have the door key to unlock the door manually only the key fob do you know of any other way to reset it or disable it completely

It may be the starter hitting the flywheel and something may be wrong like a shim missing. Make sue there is battery power to the starter same as battery. Recheck wiring there and fusible links if any.
