Started by check engine light coming in and would not go off. Ran my obd 11 scanner said it was the crank shaft and cam shaft sensor. Changed both and same thing; surging will not turn over 4,000 rpm's. Then a mechanic said check to see if the wires fell on the trans axle sure enough it rubbed 3 holes in the wires.I pulled them back and fixed all the bad wires that ran to. The alternator and whatever the little wires was. Still same thing surging at 4,000 and check engine light is on all the time and does not flash on or off. Please help me.

Good morning,

The 2 codes' possibilities are below.

The one is for the intake air temperature sensor. That is on the intake hose from the air filter to the throttle body.

The other code is for the signal dropping out from the crank sensor. Check the connector and be sure you have 8 volts on the highlighted wire in the diagram I attached.

Do you think the wires that ran to the alternator and crank shaft sensor could have shorted out my computer? They were all raw and riding on the medal part of the trans axle. I checked the wires on the camshaft it's a hair over 8 volts. I have to crawl back under the car and take the wires off the crankshaft sensor. It's band new. Also the cam shaft sensor, the new radiator fan, has also quit coming on when it gets warm. I changed that sensor. Also need your thoughts. Thanks

No, it will not as long as the wire for the alternator did not short to any of the sensor wires.

Check the cam sensor harness as well. Peel back the harness about 10 inches and make sure it is still good.
