Engine shuts off when the weather is hot

The engine will shut off out of nowhere when it's hot outside, but when I put it in neutral it will start again but once I put it in gear it will shut off again. It will start up right away but shuts off again. If I wait 15 to 20 minutes it will go.

Hi,

What you describe sounds like a faulty crankshaft position sensor. When they begin to fail, often they are adversely affected by heat. Do me a favor. Take a look through this link and let me know if you feel it mirrors what you experience:
