The engine had a mechanical problem, it was replaced, however it is not running. Whenever the engine is cranked it will react as if it wants to start then continuing cranking, the process continues like that.
The engine has been scanner; there has not been any fault code.
There is spark, the fuel injectors are pulsing.
What can someone check for this kind of diagnosis?

Did the car run normally before the repair?
What was the mechanical problem it was having before the repair?
What was the part that was replaced during the repair?

The engine was running normally; the vehicle was driven to the workshop.
There was a knocking sound from the engine.
The engine was replaced completely.

Oh, well that changes everything if it's not starting you might want to take it back to the shop that installed the engine chances are its something that requires further diagnostics to get a real idea on what's actually going on with it.
