What is this metal part with the pink stripe in my engine bay? What does it do? Found droppings in that area and was wondering what the part was even called.

Trying to figure out what this metallic part with the pink pinstripe under the rubber hose is and what function it provides? It is located in my engine bay to the right of my engine under the hose

That looks like a gasket can I ask if it is at the front or rear of the engine? If it is the front it looks like the timing chain cover gasket.
