Engine acts like it wants to shut off

Hi, my mom bought the vehicle listed above. She took it to the dealer because when sitting at a stop light it feels like it is going to turn off. It also feels like it is misfiring. They could not find anything wrong with it. It only happens when it is a cool night like forty degrees and below. Any ideas what it could be? My friend says it is probably carbon build up. He works for a dealership and has experienced it with the Toyota's.

I doubt if there is carbon buildup on a 2018 engine.
It is still covered under warranty but the dealer will probably have to experience the problem during a test drive cause it is obvious there are not getting any trouble codes retrieved from the PCM.
If it only does it while cold, below forty degrees, you may have to wait until the weather is below forty degrees and take it back to the dealer and ride with them as they test drive it and prove it to them.
