Engine pass twenty Five Hundred?

Just put a clutch in and now I can't rip the motor pass twenty five hundred r. P. M. When holding foot on gas the r. P. M.'s will drop even with foot on gas

When you were doing the clutch did you notice any rattling from the exhaust? If the catalytic converter has come apart it will block the outlet of the exhaust not allowing the engine to reach any RPM.s Also, this truck has a fuel filter I would change as well which is on the frame rail on the drivers side rear the tank.
