And it is a Insigna 2.0ltr sri cdti. Had to drop two gears then slammed on brake pedal. Got a problem starting it. It is turning over but only for a couple of seconds then nothing. If I wait fifteen minutes it just turns over again couple of seconds. Any help please.

It sounds like the battery has an internal short circuit. Here is a test you can do to confirm the issue:

and if bad
