My ‘van wouldn’t start tonight. Battery reads at 12.5v. If I insert the key, there is no power to the car and the car won’t turn over. If I try to jump the car there is power in the interior of the car, but the van just clicks. I’ve had electrical problems before - radio randomly stops working, doors will open/close on their own. Disconnect the battery in the past and this would usually reset the car. It doesn’t now and the car is dead. Help!

Hello,

This could be a problem with your vehicle's Totally Integrated Power Module[TIPM]. In the diagrams down below I have included the Starting Circuit wiring diagram for your vehicle as well as the instructions for the removal and installation of the TIPM. Please go through these guides and get back to us with how everything turns out.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks. Is there a way I can test it to see if that is indeed the problem?

Hello again,

Our reference material lists no tests for the TIPM for your vehicle. Usually if any component of the TIPM goes bad, like the starter relay, then the whole module must be replaced. I have included for you in the diagrams down below the No Start flowchart from the vehicle manufacturer for your vehicle. Please go through the guide and get back to us with what you find out.

Thanks,
Alex
