Truck shut off, made a noise, then all lights, door dings, dash alerts, and center lights would not work.

Suddenly all came back on, left to right, start button glowed two times, then all went back off, nothing.

Called roadside, checked battery, without taking cables loose. All was good.

After work, truck started but miles to empty was ---, clock reset to 1206- no Bluetooth available to be seen on phone, radio channels were normal.

Any ideas? Dealer put it on computer- not showing anything.

Hello,

This could be a problem with Ground #57. It is located behind the center of the dashboard. In today's modern vehicle's there are many electrical circuits that share a common ground. When there is a problem with one of these grounds, many circuits are effected and it seems as if the whole car goes haywire. Ground paths are half of a circuit, so they are just as important as the power side of the circuit, a fact that many people overlook. In the diagrams down below I have included a Ground Distribution Wiring Diagram and the location of Ground #57 in your vehicle. Please check the ground and make sure it is clean, corrosion free, tight, and making good metal to metal contact and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex
