My power windows stopped working so I took off driver side door panel and took out control panel. Now I have no power no interior lights no buzzer nothing. I am to my end I got cancer surgery coming up and other car has fuel problems. I simply love my vehicle. I pray you can help. Could the whole problem be in the window control unit?

Do you have courtesy lights on the doors? If so, there is a good chance you have broken and frayed wires between the door hinges, and some of them shorted together and caused some fuses to blow.

The fuses are all good to the best of my knowledge. I do thank you for your input.

Remember, there are two fuse boxes; one inside and one under the hood. Check if the under-hood lamp works. If it does not, check fuse #1, a 20-amp, in the under-hood fuse box. Also check the 40-amp maxi-fuse, #16.

Since you have the switch panel out, check for twelve volts on the tan wire at the window switch assembly. I have a suspicion there will be zero volts there, (with the ignition switch in the "run" position). If we are to assume the dead windows and interior lights are related, the problem would have to be before the ignition switch. The window circuit goes through the ignition switch. The interior lights do not.

Let me know what you find up to this point.

Hello very sorry for my delay. Yes indeed it was 40 amp fuse. Under 6.00 for new fuse. I think I caused it when driver window wouldn't roll up so I took door panel off to touch connecters from a wire I ran from the battery. I thought I was careful but guess not. Deeply appreciate your help
