Went to start the van heard a pop. Now all I hear when I try to start is jumping electric snapping. Also, I have no power to anything. But the service lights came on.

You may have blown a fuse. there is a main fuse after battery so check that. Then try a security system reset. See link.

I looked a bit closer ! The battery blew up. Always start wth the battery!

Yes it happens from time to time, clean the area with baking soda and a garden hose, then follow this guide to get the battery replaced.
