I am driving a 1995 eagle summit esi. I noticed an oil leak and took it to a mechanic who replaced the sending unit to stop the leak. He also told me that there may be other leaks. I took it to another mechanic to get a second opinion and he put it on the lift and verifiied that that the sending unit was replaced and he said that I needed to drive for several
days and check the oil and if oil level is still the same
than oil from previous leak just needs time to run out.
MY vehicle continues to drip oil on the pavement. I am not sure which mechanic to go with. What are some of the main reasons these type cars will leak oil and where will the leak come from? What steps do I need to take with this particular problom?

It's been a while, and you may not even have the car anymore, but, pressure wash the engine or get some engine cleaner from the parts store to get rid of all the oil on the engine. Then spray it with some desinex foot spray and cover the engine with it. It turns to a dry white powdery substance. Then drive the car around the block and look for a wet spot, there's your leak.
